Just wondering: Who are the best 3 young actors ever in your opinion?

Hmmm... it is kind of hard to decide, since there are many YS out there who could potentally get a place in this ranking.

But, I think I will do it like this: I will mention the YS that have been kind of "important" or special to me. And these are:

1. Haley Joel Osment. He was the first YS that I actually became aware of, already several years ago. And of course, his acting has always been superb.

2. Freddie Highmore. He ist the YS from whom I think that he is some kind of, how should I say it; "perfect" actor. Since it is like this: he almost always played in average or good movies, always played very well - and has the "special something". Furthermore, he is very intelligent, but still charming and "on the ground".

3. Alex Etel. Too bad that he hasn't had any really mentionable roles besides "millions" (the waterhorse, maybe), but especially this one - has deeply moved me. A perfect and unforgettable appearance !

Jimbo said it correctly that this is extreemly difficult question to answer.

I can recognize some of the European actors in your pictures. I say I can recognize them from movies that I've seen but can't recall their names. Absolutely the world cinema has shown us much more talented young actors than the American cinema but who are more popular? Go and try to find some info about Domen Remskar for instance or Marko Djurovich and so on. Popularity is not equal to talent of course.

The question asked for 3 Top and I just listed the 3 that came to my mind without thinking. Are they the best 3 ys of all time? I don't think so. There are many more but those I know best.

The YS in the middle is Olivier Tuinier. Although his name sounds french, he's from the Netherlands. Famous from "Het Zakmes" (1992) and "De kleine blonde dood" (1993).
The other two ... hmmm.. don't know ...

Chase Ellison is defiantly in my list , then Guillermo Campra and either Freddie Highmore or HJO. It`s kind of hard to determine - because I watch quite a lot of films and sometimes an actor in them makes such a great impression on me - but in the next movie another does .

Well, the thing is that there might be some YS from other countries that are as good as the ones I chose, but sometimes a YS acts very well, but only in one or two movies or movies I didn't like that much. The Three I chose were not only perfect actors from my point of view, but also played in a lot of films I really like. The main reason for choosing Harley Cross was because of his magnificent performance in "The Boy who cried Bitch".

Unfortunately "The Boy Who Cried Bitch" is not available on DVD. Inbetween also the VHS tapes on amazon.com, amazon.co.uk und amazon.ca are sold out. It's a pity that so much crap comes out on DVD, but good movies like this one not ... :motz01:

amazon.de still have an used VHS tape of the German dubbed version ("Zur Hölle, Mrs.Love"), but lousy VHS quality I already have... :smile022:

Besides Harley Cross spontaneous come to my mind: Nathaniel Moreau and ... okay ... again HJO and Freddie ... :lol:
