So da ich fuerchte es ist im anderen Thread ein wenig untergegangen hier nochmal:


Da ich natürlich Billys Newsletter abonniert habe , möchte ich euch das hier nicht vorenthalten, den habe ich letzte Woche Mittwoch bekommen habe:


I thought it was time to fill you in on what's going on! So many new exciting things! First off - the new record! If you liked 'Everything and More,' then you will be blown away by this next record. We are in the process of getting my vocals done for the 1st single. The new single (which is yet to be chosen) has a tentative release date in April.

I was in Nashville recording with the band about 3 weeks ago and - wow - did they knock our socks off (more then usual). Once again, my producer Sandy Linzer is spearheading this project, and BOY did he write some great songs. I can't wait for you all to hear them!

Also, some neat things will be up on this site as the release date gets closer. Keep checking back to the site, 'cause ya never know what I'll be posting....

Thanks so much for waiting so patiently and for all your dedication to my career. I hope you enjoy what we have planned.

'Gonna Find Love,' the new single from Billy Gilman will be hitting radio on May 18!

'Gonna Find Love' is from Billy's forthcoming CD 'Billy Gilman' to be released nationally on July 25, 2006 on the Image Entertainment label.
The new CD, featuring special guest Pam Tillis, shows significant growth in Billy's vocal range and brings him back full circle to country music with guitar, fiddle, and steel accompaniment.

'Gonna Find Love' is the perfect summertime song. It's uptempo, it's fun, and it has an unforgettable hook. Don't be surprised if you cannot get this catchy melody out of your head or if you find yourself singing along with the track.

'Gonna Find Love' appealed to me immediately because it speaks the truth. Every young adult feels this way sooner or later in life. It's about growing up and experiencing love.'

'Billy the Kid' (Written by Salme Dahlstrom, Madeline Stone and Sandy Linzer) : 'This is a first for me, the first time that I ever had a story that is like Toby Keith's 'How Do You Like Me Now.' This song is my life. This is what I want to do. You can't shoot down Billy The Kid. Enough said.'

'Southern Star' (Written by Sandy Linzer and Edward B. Kessel) : 'It has a great hook and melody. When I was in the studio I could just close my eyes and see this mini movie of the song. It's about finding love and a relationship that makes you feel great.'

'Let Me Remind You Again' (Written by David Wolfert and Sandy Linzer) : 'This is another of the traditional style songs. When I got this song in the studio with all the musicians, the energy that they created with this song was just unbelievable. I could feel Ray Price or Patsy Cline on my shoulder going 'Yeah! Go kid!' It was really neat.'

'Gonna Find Love' (Written by Salme Dahlstrom, Madeline Stone and Sandy Linzer) : 'Itís a coming of age song. The reason I chose this song is because it speaks about truth. It is truth. Everyone my age feels this way sometime in their life because you grow up and experience these kinds of feelings and emotions. This song speaks about what we feel and what we face.'

'Designated Driver' (Written by David Wolfert and Sandy Linzer) : 'This song is a real 'blast in the car' type of song. I could hear Wynonna or ZZ Top on this, just roaring on it. It's hip and fun and has lots of attitude.'

'Clueless' (Written by Sandy Linzer and Edward B. Kessel) : 'This is another growing up song. I know these songs performed by me are sometimes hard to swallow, but this is a great one to recognize that I am 18. I have to grow up.'

'Easy' (Written by David Wolfert and Sandy Linzer) : 'When I was in the studio and came to this song, the musicians went wild. They loved the message. It's the kind of song thatís different. There are many songs where a person breaks up with another person, but says, 'I only wish you the best.' This song is completely opposite, one of the few I've ever heard. This is me telling the girl, 'I'm not going to make it easy for you because I think this relationship can work.í So, itís a really great song to turn the tables and tell a whole other view of a relationship breaking up. I love it.'

'Almost Over (Getting Over You)' (Written by David Wolfert and Sandy Linzer) : 'Iíd asked Sandy to write a couple of traditional songs, the kind you would hear on the Opry and he did it. I had a blast singing it. He delivered 100%. It has a great beat. Then I had the idea of possibly bringing it to my favorite artist, Pam Tillis, thinking maybe she could sing it with me. Well she agreed and for that I'm forever grateful and so stoked for her to hear it! Thanks Pam, You're the best!!'

If You Could See Yourself in My Eyes' (Written by David Wolfert and Sandy Linzer) : 'I instantly loved the beat. It has a beautiful melody. When we recorded it, we turned down all the lights in the studio, and just let our hearts pour out the emotion.'

'I Will' (Written by Steve Hornbeak and Ron Ernst) : 'I think this might be the wedding song of the year actually. Itís kind of like 'I Swear' by John Michael Montgomery. My bandleader for all my tours said he had a couple of songs he wanted me to listen to and when this song came on, my mouth dropped. I loved it. I already know some people who have asked for it for a wedding.'

'Young Love' (Written by David Wolfert and Sandy Linzer) : 'This is a great summer song, roll down the windows and sing out loud. I can see kids in their cars with the windows down and this song blasting. Itís a fun melody and catchy.'

'We Go On' (Written by Salme Dahlstrom, Madeline Stone and Sandy Linzer) : 'This is a family favorite. Itís very uplifting and I think relates to everyone on the planet. Everyone has their problems, whether it's money, relationships, family, or death. We all go on. You pick up where you left off and try to move on with your life.'
