Mother of Mine is a film about a small person's plight amidst the warring world. During the
Finnish-Russian War (1939-1944) more that 70 000 children were evacuated from
Finland to Sweden. Mother of Mine tells the story of 8-year-old Eero and his journey to a
new mother in an un-known land.
Mother of Mine is the first feature film ever made of the Finnish war children. It is a film
about a boy who has two mothers and two homes - but still feels nowhere at home.
