caenbergs,

The first photo in your post, of the boys in a hotel(?) corridor:

1) When and where was this photo taken?
2) Where did you get it from?
3) Are there any more photos in this series?

Thanks,
someone.

Just had this in my inbox:

Two new videos and two new picture galleries are now online at www.thechoirboys.org.uk.

The first video is of the boys, with Hayley Westenra, performing Do You Hear What I Hear, on GMTV. This was the boys' second appearance on GMTV on 21st December.

The other video is another report from China News. This is not the same report that's been discussed at length on the official forum, although it does share some of the same footage. Be ready for an amazing Patrick smile (11-12 seconds from the beginning) and look at the end for a few seconds showing the actual recording of Tears In Heaven taking place at All Saints' Church, Tooting.

The two new picture galleries are Loose Women and Children In Need, both sets of photos captured from videos of the boys' appearances on these programmes.

Latest update

Two more videos are now online at www.thechoirboys.org.uk.

The first is of the boys' appearance on Top Of The Pops on 18/12/05, when they sang Walking In The Air.

The second video is yet another appearance by Ben on BBC Look North. Presenter Peter Levy is as clueless as ever and announces the song extract as Tears From Heaven. During the interview Ben updates us on the latest odds at William Hill for the boys' getting the Christmas number one and says "Hi" to his mum.

Also two new picture galleries for you. GMTV 2 is a set of shots captured from the boys December appearance on GMTV with Hayley Westenra. The second gallery, Album Launch, is a compilation of photos, from more than one source, of the boys' appearance at the HMV store in Cambridge on 28/11/05. Some quite nice photos in this set . . .

Another update just arrived:

Now online, at thechoirboys.org.uk, an interview with the boys taken from the "Bonus DVD" which came with the limited edition version of the Japanese release of the album. Although an 'interview', we never hear the questions, only the boys replies! Perhaps it made more sense with the Japanese subtitles (not included in this download) . . .

Also two new photo galleries uploaded - BBC Look North 3 and Top Of The Pops.

From the DVD interview:

Isn't that always the case with bonus-track "interviews" on DVDs, that are somehow
cut-together statements from the actor, with no person actually asking, sometimes
questions inserted in writing. I find such an "interview" style always annoying.

Latest update:

Two more videos are now online at http://www.thechoirboys.org.uk. The first is taken from last year's BBC Children In Need evening which included a brief extract from the Southwell Minster concert, with the boys performing Tears In Heaven. And for the second video, following on from the boys' performance of Danny Boy on Thursday's LK Today, I thought it was time we brought you the video of their first appearance on the programme in October of last year - again it's Tears in Heaven.

Also two new items of news. The Choirboys' next TV appearance is now confirmed as the Mothers Day (26 March) edition of the Heaven and Earth Show, when the boys will be performing a special song to mark the occasion, after which you can look forward to Good Friday (14 April), when they will be on Radio 2's Friday Night Is Music Night. After disappearing from our sight since Christmas, it seems, at last, that the boys are back in town!.

With all the excitment of the boys' TV appearance this week, we haven't had time to produce any new photo galleries, but look out for next week's update, when I hope to bring the Tears In Heaven gallery, consisting of stills from the official video.

I thought the "unofficial" Choirboys site had died. All the videos disappeared a few weeks ago because of copyright problems, but it appears to be back now.

Just received this in my inbox this evening. The BBC video is especially good - the best Choirboys news report I have seen. Follows Ben from been woken in bed in the morning through a busy day in London with the Choirboys through to his arrival back home in the evening.

Two more galleries and four more videos are now online at www.thechoirboys.org.uk.

The first gallery is a set of stills from the boys' recent appearance on the Heaven And Earth Show, while for the second set I have put together all photos from the official photo shoot that I have been able to acquire. These include four images at a higher resolution, which may particularly appeal to those who like messing about in Photoshop or Paint Shop Pro.

The first of the videos is the BBC East Midlands Today/Look North report, following the boys on a day of TV and radio appearances in London. This an excellent report that gives a real taste of Choirboy life (which I must say appears to be an extremely hectic life). Particular thanks to the BBC for providing us with this video, which we missed recording when it went out live, and for giving permission for its use in the site.

The other three, short videos are for avid Choirboys collectors and are three different TV adverts from about the time the album was released - "introducing the breathtaking sound of The Choirboys, the most beautiful voices you'll ever hear".

There is also a gallery of stills from this report, of which these pictures are just a selection:

Boyband singer struck and killed by train as family pay tribute to "much-loved son"
Patrick Aspbury, 23, died after being hit by the train near Chelmsford railway station last week

A young boyband singer was killed after he was struck by a train in Chelmsford last week.
The family of the 23-year-old have now paid tribute to their son, whom they described as a "sensitive, thoughtful and caring person".
Patrick Aspbury, of Chelmsford, died after being hit by a train near Chelmsford railway station at around 4pm last Wednesday, April 12,
reports Essex Live . Patrick was made famous in 2005 after he became one member of the three-piece boyband the Choirboys, a group
of cathedral choir singers assembled to help promote choir music to the masses. Ahead of an inquest into his death, his family released
a statement paying tribute to a "much-loved son, brother, and cherished friend."

"It is with great sadness that we acknowledge the loss of much-loved son, brother, family member and cherished friend Patrick," they
said. "In addition to his singing, Patrick was also a talented and promising composer, keen footballer and Spurs fan, and above all a
sensitive, thoughtful, and caring person. "He will be sorely missed. We would ask that everyone respect our family's privacy, and Patrick's
memory, during this difficult time."

All lines in and out of Chelmsford station were cancelled and all lines blocked between Shenfield and Witham last Wednesday after
reports a man had been hit by a train. Police and paramedics rushed to the scene, closing off part of Duke Street and temporarily
evacuating the station, while disruption to trains lasted well into the evening. A spokeswoman for the British Transport Police confirmed
last week that a man had been killed and an inquest into Patrick's death is set to begin in Chelmsford tomorrow.
